Valco With a ZEE!!!
Valco Baby, makers of the single and double TriMode and Ion strollers, not to mention a plethora of accessories including their omni-present Universal Cup Holder, have KNOCKED this stroller out of the park. I present to you:
The ZEE.
Weighing it at right under 19 lbs, the ZEE is 21 inches wide, a full 3-4 inches more narrow than many other strollers on the market. Using a terrific one-handed recline mechanism, the ZEE is suitable from birth through 45 lbs, so you get quite a bit of use out of this guy.
Features I love:
Canopy has a zippered panel that you unzip and spread out for extra sun coverage.
Recline is easy-breezy.
Padded leg rest is adjustable and very comfortable.
Footrest is an easy-to-clean material, great for cleaning what’s left behind from muddy feet.
GREAT undercarriage basket, even holds a dog!
The fold is beyond easy, and unfolding it is just as easy. NO learning curve, whatsoever.
Features I would change:
I’d love the belly bar to have more positions, as it is either UP or loosey-goosey.
I wish all strollers came with rain shields.
That’s it. It’s a very smooth ride, with larger tires in back which make bumping up and down curbs or steps very smooth. All standard Valco accessories work with the ZEE, so you’re able to snap a car seat on it, use a bassinet, get that rain shield, or get their cup holder (amongst many other things).
I REALLY dig this stroller, and I think it has the potential to give other strollers in this size-range a run for their MONEY…ESPECIALLY when you consider it’s only $300.

I love how narrow the stroller is. In NYC it can be so difficult walking on the busy sidewalks and trying to walk around all the pedestrians. This is especially true when trying to shop and make it through narrow supermarket aisles.
Love the idea of a zippered, expanding, sun canopy.
I like the narrower width of the stroller … I find my stroller a little wide and I always catch on things in stores.
The basket is awesome – big and easy to get into.
That is wonderful! So light weight and compact! My husband is in the oil industry and travels all the time and because of that our child is going to have to ride on a lot of plane rides to see his daddy. I was worried about taking a big stroller in a crowded airport. This stroller seems perfect to take in the airport or anywhere crowded. Light weight, compact, breaks down easily, wonderful! I love it.
I have twins, and I would love to wear one and push Ine in the Valco Zee.

I like the trend towards narrower strollers with good use of all the space between the wheels like this and the Mountain Buggy Duet.
I like that it’s narrow and only weighs 19lbs. We have the Valco Trimode and love it, but it is a little heavier and the wheels are bulky for tossing in the trunk to go to the mall. I’d love to have this one!

What I think draws me into this stroller more then anything is it LOOKS QUALITY built and the wheels indicate it will be a smooth ride and easy to push. Admittedly the fold up action looks awesome too.

Gotta say this stroller looks awesome. I am a huge fan of lightweight and smaller strollers. Being a single mom it is impossible sometimes to get a stoller in and out of a car but this little zee looks GREAT! Thanks for the demo also. You rock!
I watched the video, but I actually love the photo of the dog in the basket. We have a small, elderly dog who always wants to go with us on our walks, but he can’t make it all the way back home again. It’s very hard to carry a dog and push a stroller. The basket on our stroller is tightly wedged under the stroller, so there is no way he can ride in it. Consequently he doesn’t get to go with us and he is always broken hearted. If I had this stroller I could take him with, he would fit in the basket to ride home in!

Also wanted to mention about the different stap buckles. I agree with you the fact it’s different is probably a good thing because my daughter is at the stage where she is figuring out most of them so a change in that would be awesome lol. Wow! I have wondered about this. I so want a small single stroller for the airplane– and this is the right weight for the new airline regs….. oh– I so need something like this for that! (I think I am told that it also takes a joey seat as well and I could also pop my other kiddo in to roll luggage easily with my other hand. Is that right?
My fav feature is the fold for sure! None of the frame touches the ground to get scratched up, so compact, so easy, so fast. The unfold is simple, quick and sleek. I am impressed. Way to go Valco!

I love that if folds down so small. We have a small car and always have a difficult time finding a nice stroller that will fit in our car. I’m not sure that we’d need the wheel pop-off feature, but it might come in handy for trunk storage, too.

After watching your review I am in love with this stroller. My current stroller is so big and bulky and hard to open and close. The ease at which you were able to operate this particular stroller was great. I also love that the wheels come off and on like that. A very cool stroller!!!

This is so nice! I’m 5’3″ and my husband is about 5’11″ and any stroller I have been able to use he hasn’t, and any one he has been able to use is always too heavy for me! So I think this one would be a great fit for us!

I love the width of this stroller and this would be the best solution for NYC. Its time for me to move from my huge 3 wheeled stroller to the easy and compact Valco baby Zee stroller.
I just got the Zee 2 for my 3 1/2 month old and 21 month old. It is awesome. I do find it a bit awkward to lock in upright position. In the video they flick their hand and it is up. In reality — you either have to use your hand to reach down under the stroller or your foot to lock it in place. Once it is set up – it is great. I would love a zee and recommend them to anyone.

I love that it’s really narrow, and that the sun canopy can be enlarged, especially since the handle is not adjustable to allow you to face the strollers’ occupant!

Omg! I wish I could afford this for my first 2 kids I had a graco which I hated then for my third a Chicco which is not bad but this zee is awsome!!! I’m 3 months pregnant and WiSH I could get one for my fourth soooo bad! I’ve been trying to search at garage sales an Craigslist and just can’t find a nice easy stroller with all these amazing features! K gotta stop I’m going nuts here!

I love how small this fold up! My stroller is great but it doesn’t fold up small at all. Most of the time I don’t even carry it in my car because if I do I don’t have room for anything else.
I love the automatic lock and the manueverability of the stroller. I also love that it accepts the joey seat and hitchhiker board. This makes it a great stroller for having more than one child. And it’s so lightweight!

When we were having Zoya with a Zee
about 6 months ago, we didn’t have much time to research strollers (for a number of reasons). Ended up getting the Chicco key fit system because of the carseat safety ratings. While the stroller isn’t bad per se, we do live in hilly Riverdale (been there?) and it’s started to rattle a bit.. Guess the suspension couldn’t handle the undulating pavements :/ Not to mention the great space saving features, and that’s a super feature for those of us who live in space-bereft NYC. Great review, would love to see more out of you!

I would have to agree, I wish all strollers came with a rain shield, however, I would be interested to know how the zee two differs from the zee because I have 7 month old twins.
I love that it is so compact! I have an uppa baby and love it but it’s a tad heavy for a lot of in and out of stores and putting it in and out of the car.

Love how the stroller is 3.5-4 inches narrower than most stroller which is great for urban living.

I love the higher weight limit with my 97th percentile chunker! Plus that expanding sun canopy is great.
The only thig that worries me is that such a slim stroller might make my butt look fat.

Sounds silly, but I love how the basket is an actual basket at the bottom, so many are just kind of fabric that may or may not hold things that you want it to. but there’s a lot of other positives in there too!

Loved the review! There are so many features about this stroller that I love. The main feature has to be the recline and the safety factor. The other option is that the wheels come off. That is awesome for road trips!
This stroller looks like a dream come true, i already own a trimode single stroller, and it is unfortunately very bulky, i love it so much that it is a shame we cant take it with us everywhere we go. this Zee on the other hand, looks to be like it would fit in our family perfectly, i love how much storage it has, the easy fold/unfold, and of course the valco known clasp so little babes cant get out when you need them to stay put!
Wow, what a great stroller! My favorite feature is that it is so light weight and also that it holds up to 45 lbs. I hate lugging around a heavy stroller, and need something that carries a good weight since I have a big baby, lol. This would be wonderful!
