Hello, everyone!!!! Clearly I’ve been a bit lax with posts lately, but it’s been a bit busy. I’ve been traveling a bit with work, and recently signed a development deal with a great company, so keep those fingers crossed!!

One of the projects I’ve been working on, and am thrilled to share with you, is MyBlueBirdie. I was contacted by the founders last year, and I am happy to say that I am on-board as their baby gear expert. Here’s the breakdown:

New and expectant parents are OVERWHELMED with choices and inundated with opinions from friends, family, and what they read about what they really need as they prepare for a new arrival, or continue the parenting experience. MyBlueBirdie is a new breed of website: part editorial, part retail, part flash deals and events. We’ve got pediatricians, child development experts, prenatal wellness experts, and yours truly, dedicated to providing parents with quality content. There is a buying guide to help parents decide how to buy what they need, as well as what they don’t—and our two baby gear retail partners, Magic Beans and Right Start, make the process easy. Add to this a list of products I curated that are, in my opinion, a great selection of the “best of the best” in every category, and you’ve got a process designed to streamline the misery and angst of choosing products.

Flash events will also be a feature of MBB, and we know there are a TON of flash sites out there. We’ve got tricks up our sleeves to really set ours apart—more on that to come ;)

One feature that REALLY sets MyBlueBirdie apart from other sites is the email series. Parents that sign-up will receive an email every three months through the first three years. These emails, from the experts, serve as a timeline. For example: “Your child is 3 months old. Developmentally, these are milestones you should be hitting or hit soon and these are things to watch out for.” Then, I chime in with products you might need, as well as how to choose them, and provide links to my favorites in the category.

Nailing it.

SOOOO, to celebrate the launch of MyBlueBirdie at the end of April, as well as BabyGuyGearGuide’s 1 YR BIRTHDAY, I’ve teamed up with MBB and a few of my favorite manufacturers to throw a Twitter Party. Products, as well as gift certificates to MyBlueBirdie, will be given away to VERY lucky winners. Here are the details:
