A Snap to Have a Snack
There’s something interesting I’ve noticed in my years of dealing with strollers: there is a significant difference between strollers designed in Europe and strollers designed in America. You’re probably thinking: Yeah—European strollers are sexier. While that’s generally true, I’m going to draw to your attention the glaringly obvious:
Cupholders and Trays.
Look at the Stokke Xplory, the Bugaboo line, the Micralites, Mamas & Papas. Although cupholders are available now, there are no trays! I remember when the cup holders finally launched for the Bugaboo strollers. People lost their minds and you would’ve thought it was the second coming if you were in BBB on the weekends. The Xplory cupholder is also “relatively” new considering how long the stroller has been available. The simple fact is: in Europe people take breaks. They’re not in a constant rush like we are here, so they don’t need cup holders. Trays? Forget it. Here in America we feed our kids all day long. That’s really not the case elsewhere. I am not here to judge your parenting style. So it’s not a surprise that it takes these companies a LONG TIME to realize there’s a market for such items here in the good ol’ US of A.
I am here to tell you that there’s FINALLY a great tray for the Bugaboo.
Invented by a mother, Lauren Moore, the Tray Vous is a GREAT tray for your Frog or Cameleon. Using a pair of adapters that allow your pre-existing belly bar to angle differently, the Tray Vous is easy to attach to create a sturdy place for whatever snacks your little one might need. There’s also a recessed area to accommodate a sippy cup.
This is a great mom-invented product and I am thrilled to let you all know about it! Go! Get it now!
Available at TrayVous.com for $49.95

Even for those of us that aren’t feeding our little ones all of the time, stroller trays are a great place for little ones to play with/stash their toys.
agreed! i was just giving one example—i think this tray is a GREAT invention—even though Bugaboo has a tray in the works, to my knowledge it is not a flat surface like this—Tray Vous is where it’s at!!!
I wondered if this was the product.
The main reason we don’t do trays/cup holders in Europe is that we often have to fold our strollers in tight spaces – apartments, buses etc. The accessories often mean the stroller either won’t stand up, or has bits sticking out to be broken. I specifically looked for a stroller that DIDN’T have a tray or a cup holder!
But this is a great idea for those that do want them!
That’s also a great point, about folding. It’s just interesting that as these Euro-designed strollers get more “Americanized” they adapt more to things that were commonplace. Ahh, strollers. I am a nerd.
I just checked the website and looks like the tray is detachable. What a great idea!
SO excited that I saw this – I love my bugaboo but it’s a bit bulky to fold, but I’ll take that with how easy it is to push & now finding a tray – yipee. thanks!!
Great Post Jamie!
You are SO right not only about the differences between European and American strollers, but also the lifestyle differences. It just goes to show, we all have different needs and preferences when it comes to cruising around with our tots
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback about my product! The tray has really increased my family’s use and love of our Cameleon and we definitely use it just as much for playing and toys as we do for snacks and drinks

Well when I glanced at the picture I assumed it was the American stroller due to the m&n’s on it!!!
I got so excited when I first heard about Tray Vous, then disappointed. I have a Bee, and no belly bar! My little one is only 8 months, so she’s still pretty captivated by scenery, but I know that soon she will want her toys and maybe a sippy cup at hand. Anything coming down the pike for the Bee?
Nothing that I know of
Whoever comes up with a Bee tray will make some $$$$$$$$$$
